Meet the team

Stephen qualified as a QS and after 25 years with the business has put away the scale rule and concentrates on his role as Managing Partner. He provides the leadership for the business and heads up our Core Solutions support function along with performing his missed calling in life….event organiser! He is a keen footballer (although an Everton fan) and enjoys skiing and all things political.

Tim joined as a fresh faced 23 year old back in 1988. During his time he has performed many functions within the business contributing massively to our growth and success. Along with the role of Chairman, Tim provides strategic direction on marketing, heads up the Information Systems team and supports the Residential Development and Regeneration team using his expert knowledge of procurement and contracts. Tim’s a keen cricketer, footballer, allotmenteer and yachtsman.

Andrews’ first involvement with the firm was in the mid 1980’s as a student and he has never looked back! Andrew is a leading expert in his sector and has undertaken roles such as Master Planning Manager for De Vere Hotels and Vice President Special Projects for Intercontinental Hotels Group. When not operating in the Hotel and Leisure sector, Andrew can be found on the golf course working hard to bring down his already impressive handicap.

Paul joined in 1999 and has excellent experience in both the public and private sectors. With Andrew, Paul currently runs the Commercial team utilising his Retail, Leisure and Hotels experience and supports Stephen as deputy Managing Partner. Paul has worked on secondment with IHG and prior to joining he lived in Dubai working on the Burj Al Arab Hotel development with Atkins.

Robert's passion is rugby, so much so he sometimes transfers this onto the football pitch! Like Stephen, he also enjoys skiing and ensures he goes at least once a year. Robert operates within the Residential Development and Regeneration team bringing both commercial and public sector experience with him to the benefit of his team and his Affordable Housing clients. His fluent French comes in handy when working on Hotel projects in France.

Mash joined in the mid 1990s while studying to obtain his degree in Quantity Surveying. Over the past 15 years he has worked his way up to equity Partner and head of the Residential Development and Regeneration team delivering new homes. Mash is a Spurs fan (which he states is as stressful as work!) and is a keen cricketer. He is expecting the call from the Indian selectors to happen any day now…

Ken ‘the magician’ Morgan (so called for his ability to pull new work out of his hat at any given time) heads up the Public Sector team along side Sean Tobin. He is a key driver of innovation in both the firm and his specialist sector and is often called upon for his expert opinion within the industry.

Sean is a leading specialist in cost management and partnering. Joining in the late 1990s to work on retail projects such as Dixons and PC World, Sean now leads the Public Sector team with Ken providing valuable experience of fast track retail roll outs to Local Authorities and ALMOs. Sean enjoys playing football on a Saturday and the after match analysis in the pub even more.

Gurpal joined John Rowan & Partners in 2004 as a young Building Surveyor. His early days at the company saw him work across all of our teams where his diverse skills and his ability to grasp clients requirements were a real asset.
He is now head of the Building Surveying team responsible for the delivery of commercial and professional building surveying work, CDM Co-ordination and clerk of works services. Gurpal is a huge cricket fan and supports either England or India……depending on who is winning!
