We have found that the most effective way of ensuring disputes arising in construction projects do not end up in adjudication, arbitration or litigation is by having a “job-site” dispute resolution process. Typically, this comprises an independent and impartial person or body - selected by the contracting parties at the commencement of the contract – to become part of the project administration and whose main role is to address contentious issues and thereby avert problems that could, if left, result in disputes.
