Working in the public sector

We’ve delivered over £1bn of public sector contracts in dozens of disciplines from project management to strategic asset management advice. Our clients have commissioned us continually for a range of projects over years or even decades including Haringey Council, Camden Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Our work for the NHS has ranged from fire risk assessments to estimating services, procurement advice, tender analysis and reporting, post contract cost management and control, advice on contractual issues and the agreement of final accounts for a £1.5m clinical refurbishment at Ealing Hospital.

We were project and cost managers for the Department of Work and Pension’s £2bn Job Centre Plus rollout comprising 15 sites in Bedfordshire, 15 sites in Norfolk and 20 sites in London. The open-book procedures we managed saved 18% on budget and won the OGC Government Procurement Award. We personally received an award as the number one regional commercial manager, delivering the £75m London programme.
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea commissioned us to survey 14 of their community centres in order to provide a schedule of works for bringing them all up to the Council’s gold, silver and bronze standards, and innovative suggestions for maximising their income potential.

Our cost managers carried out a feasibility and estimating service for refurbishing one of Basildon Council’s swimming pool and leisure centre, Wickford Pool.

We were cost managers for the £1.2m development of a new library hall at St Anne’s Library, Haringey Council, for community activities.

Luton Borough Council commissioned an audit of several of their works contracts to depots and other commercial buildings, as well as their procurement practices. Our report identified potential value for money improvements as well as highlighted the good practice the Council were already carrying out.
