Accredited trainers endorsed by UKATA

We’re proud to be endorsed by the UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA), a leading authority on asbestos training. This means our team of experienced trainers are certified to deliver Asbestos Awareness Training, which satisfies the requirements of Regulation 10 of the Health and Safety Executive’s (HSE) Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012).

The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 states under Regulation 10 that employers who employ people who either work with asbestos or who are likely to be exposed to it are given adequate awareness training and information, which is appropriate to the work or role they do.

Why training is critical

Although the use of asbestos in construction has been prohibited since 1999, any buildings constructed prior to this are highly likely to have been built using asbestos materials. This means asbestos exposure still poses a significant risk to anyone working in or on buildings constructed pre-2000.

Sadly, according to the HSE, around 5,000 people die every year in the UK from asbestos-related diseases. That’s why equipping employees, who may be exposed to asbestos, with the knowledge needed to work on roofing projects safely remains so important.

Asbestos compliance needn’t be complicated

Our asbestos training courses are designed to educate and inform. Our dedicated team of senior asbestos compliance managers and trainers can help employers meet asbestos regulations.

The training course is delivered face-to-face, in person, and is tailored to your needs. It covers topics such as legislative requirements, risks associated with asbestos exposure and how to stay protected. Once completed, employees will have a better understanding of the types and location of asbestos in a building, as well as knowing the risks associated with asbestos exposure. The team understands that losing half a day to training can be difficult to schedule in, so courses can be conveniently delivered at site.

The course also qualifies for Continued Professional Development (CPD) points.
