Hilton Metropole refurbishment projects announced as finalist for the HAMA Europe Asset Management Achievement Award
We’re extremely proud that our Hilton Metropole refurbishment projects have been announced as a finalist for the HAMA Europe Asset Management Achievement Award.
We provided project management and quantity surveying services on both Hilton London Metropole and Hilton Birmingham Metropole, with the additional role of principal designer in Birmingham.
Hilton’s largest property outside of the US, and one of the biggest hotels in London, our team delivered this project through the pandemic and with minimal disruption to the running of the Hilton London Metropole. The 1,059 guest rooms and suites went through a striking transformation, along with the venue’s four restaurants and bars. Extensive renovations have also been made to the hotel’s 42 event spaces and meeting rooms, including two dedicated hybrid meeting rooms and three ballrooms, which total over 4,600sqm.
The 790-room Hilton Birmingham Metropole is the UK’s largest hotel outside of London, and we were appointed as project managers, quantity surveyors and principal designers on the full renovation including the bedrooms and the creation of a new restaurant and bar including feature terrace outlet. The works also involved the new conference and events, and food and beverage venue with a feature glazed conservatory and terrace and the hard renovation and reconfiguration of health club and spa zone.
Andrew Nycyk, our project lead for these schemes commented “Being shortlisted for this award is fantastic. It recognises the great teamwork and collaboration that made it possible. It was a pleasure to be involved.”
The winner will be announced International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF) on Tuesday 16 May.
