We’re pleased to say it’s been a positive year for us at John Rowan and Partners and one which has seen us return to the office, take on 11 new starters and continue to support fantastic projects and clients across the construction industry.

In this edition we take an in depth look at the issues surrounding external wall inspection. We’ve seen a great rise in interest from clients across the housing sector who are keen for help and advice. This is a complex area and one that we are well placed to support our clients with. In response to this need, we have created a number of advice notes to help provide an overview of both the challenges and solutions of external wall inspections. You can find all three within this edition.

We also take a look at some of our other major projects, such as the great engineering project known as the Luton DART or ‘Direct Air to Rail Transfer’ which, once complete, will take passengers from Luton airport’s new railway station to its terminal in four minutes.

We catch up with the Hospitality & Leisure team to see how they have been tackling the transformation of two of the UK’s largest hotels. With a combined room count of over 1,800 rooms, the refurbishment of the Hilton London Metropole and the Hilton Birmingham Metropole is no mean feat!

Last but not least, Chairman Mash gives an update on the latest company successes and showcases some of our social value work. We’re also proud that we have re-secured our silver IIP accreditation – this is incredibly important to us. We often say that we are ‘people thinking about people’ and this accreditation helps to show us we are on the right path.

Finally, as we near the end of the year we’d like to thank you all for your continued support. Next year John Rowan and Partners turns forty, which is an impressive achievement, and we look forward to celebrating it with you all in 2022!
