West London construction consultancy takes on seven new graduates

John Rowan and Partners has grown its team with seven new graduates as the firm continues to expand its work within the residential, hospitality and leisure sectors.

Located in Ealing for over 37 years, the consultancy employs over 80 people and has been integral to delivering much of London and the South East’s residential development as well as overseeing some of Ealing’s regeneration over the years. Including the £136 million redevelopment of the Green Man Lane Estate, St John’s Primary school and A2Dominion Housing Group’s £10 million headquarters on the Uxbridge road.

John Rowan and Partners’ involvement in Ealing doesn’t stop there with its appointment on the proposed High Lane Estate redevelopment – currently in pre-construction.

Due to its continued growth, the company, which has won a number of industry awards for its approach to training, undertakes a yearly Graduate programme and has welcomed seven members to the team.

These include graduate quantity surveyor Asmita Kerai and Andy Kinash and graduate building surveyors Rajvina Nijjer, Joseph Dunn, Robert Worster, Rosie Cornforth and William Thomas. With a further four due to arrive in September 2019.

“We want to create a place where people are not a number but, can grow their careers whilst having some fun.”

Gurpal Virdee, managing partner at John Rowan and Partners, commented

“We are only as good as our people and we’re very pleased to welcome our new graduates to the company. We take a family approach at John Rowan and Partners, invest in their training and development and get our graduates working on exciting projects across the construction sector from the very start. We want to create a place where people are not a number but, can grow their careers whilst having some fun.”

The business is well known as one of the leading construction consultancy’s specialising in regeneration, affordable housing and the hotel and leisure sectors.

“John Rowan and Partners is a great place to work, everyone is very invested in our graduate training and providing support.”

Rosie Cornforth, graduate building surveyor, who lives locally, commented on her appointment,

“John Rowan and Partners is a great place to work, everyone is very invested in our graduate training and providing support. What I really like, is that I’m already being given the freedom and independence to go out on site and work directly with clients such as major housing associations A2Dominion and L&Q. My work varies from week to week and I’m always fully supported by the rest of the company, whatever I’m working on I only need to ask and I have help and guidance from the senior members of the team.”

John Rowan and Partners has helped to deliver over 10,000 new homes and refurbished a further 100,000 homes in London and the South East. The consultancy has also undertaken prestigious hotel projects across London including the five year renovation of The Savoy and Rocco Forte’s flagship hotel, Browns in Mayfair as well as currently working on London’s second largest hotel, the Hilton Metropole.
