Works begin at Willow Tree Depot site
The London Borough of Hillingdon have started work at their Willow Tree Depot site. The former postal depot building in Ditchfield Road, Hayes has been demolished to make way for ten, three bedroom houses for affordable rent. One of the housed will be fully wheelchair adapted, constructed to Part M4(3) standards.
The Design and Build JCT contract with NFC Homes was signed in December 2019, and site possession took place in February 2020. John Rowan and Partners are appointed as Employers Agent, Principal Designer, Site Inspector and Party Wall Surveyors.
Despite the coronavirus lockdown, piling commenced on site on 23 April. Government and construction Covid-19 guidance is being strictly adhered to for all site activity. This includes social distancing, travel to work in separate vehicles, site cleaning and screening of the workforce each day for any symptoms.
This is John Rowan and Partners’ first direct development scheme with Hillingdon Council, we look forward to growing our positive partnership.
