Markfield Park

Over £3million has been spent through funding raised improving Markfield Park in Tottenham. In July 2010 the Park was recognised as being one of the best parks in the country, winning a Green Flag. Works have included the construction of a new cafe and park toilets, improved sports pavilion, new playground, restored beam engine, heritage building works to the Markfield Museum and general landscape improvements throughout the park.

We assisted the client in managing overall capital expenditures by producing cash flow projections involving consultant’s fees, internal costs and post-completion maintenance of the park. We attended all ‘funder’ meetings to fully understand requirements set by the funding body. Regular pre-works site visits were conducted by us to ensure that cost plans were robust and providing best value for money. Throughout construction we asserted best value with respective contractors by scrutinising returned costs and analysing a minimum of three quotations for packages.
We continuously sort efficiency within the construction process and shared knowledge with both the contractors and client, on alternative strategies, which in turn have been employed on other similar schemes.
