Awards and Endorsement

As these awards are generally assessed by interviews directly with our people, it’s great to have them to understand how we all feel about work. But what does that mean to our clients?

Happy, more motivated staff produce better quality work, when we have our career development supported we are more dedicated.  When we have our individual aspirations and goals acknowledged we feel more fulfilled and give a better service.  It allows for better delivery expertise and retention of expertise.  For these reasons we are proud to have achieved the following…..

Once again we have achieved the fantastic accolade of achieving 2 star status. The Best Company 2 star accreditation system is recognition of all that we have done to make our organisation one of the best places to work. It shows that we care about our employees – their wellbeing as well as their careers – and that we see workplace engagement as a vital part of success.

We have been Investors in People since 2006.  During our latest audit it was noted ‘John Rowan and Partners  has demonstrated a continued commitment to ensure their people and values remain at the heart of what they do.’

We won ‘Skills Initiative of the Year’.

The Skills Initiative of the Year category was open to all construction organisations and rewards those who have invested in the training and skills needed to create a construction workforce that will support the industry’s needs today and in the future, creating a sector which is technically skilled, technologically advanced and is able to attract future talent. Those who have over the past year invested in a particularly innovative or successful approach to addressing the industry’s skills needs; whether by attracting new entrants to the sector, promoting construction as a career or upskilling the current workforce in their business or the wider sector.

Since Building have being running their Good Employer Guide (since 2007) we are proud to have appeared in it. This year, as we see the market pick up, the competition has significantly increased year on year, however we remain as a recognised good employer in the industry.

The RICS Inclusive Employer Quality Mark assesses a company in 6 areas – leadership and vision, recruitment, staff development, staff retention, staff engagement and continuous improvement. We scored top marks in all 6 areas and as a result are working with the RICS to promote best practice in the industry.

We are very proud of our exceptional achievements with this prestigious award in the past and we strive to earn future places on this highly respected list is.

We first achieved ISO9001 in 2004 and it is a credit to our systems and procedures that we retain this important certification every year.   We have a Documented Quality Management System called Business Management System (BMS).  This system is accessed via our intranet and all policies, processes, procedures, forms, tools and templates are displayed here for all to use.
