Homes handed over to Wandle Housing at prestigious Battersea Reach development
John Rowan and Partners has completed and handed over 84 new affordable homes for rent and shared ownership to Wandle Housing association. The 84 homes form part of the S106 agreement for the developer, St George (part of the Berkeley Group).
Wandsworth Council granted planning permission for a comprehensive regeneration of the 13-acre Battersea Reach site. Ten years on and now nearing completion, the high-profile development comprises over 1,000 homes, close to 200,000 square feet of commercial space and seven acres of public open space including a new park with meadow planting to support native species of birds and insects.

The waterfront development is a destination in its own right. The area now boasts riverside walks and landscaped gardens as well a host of convenient onsite amenities. These include a Young’s Waterfront bar and restaurant, a French patisserie, a Hudson’s grocery store and a Tesco Express for everyday shopping.
